
Help Save Perth’s Urban Forest Small Beetle, BIG Problem! Polyphagous shot-hole borer (PSHB) was detected in Perth in August 2021 and has the capacity to significantly reduce canopy coverage by causing tree dieback and death to the city’s Urban Forest. An informative seminar on what we know about PSHB in WA is being held by the Arboriculture Association of Western Australia (ArbWest) and DPIRD on the 29th of March 6.30pm, at the WA Wildlife Education and Training Centre, Bibra Lake. Everyone is encouraged to attend and learn more about this significant threat to Perth’s Urban Forest. Bookings essential as this is a FREE and catered event with Food and Beverages. Whether you’re new to climbing or a veteran of the trees, the TTCC is an event for tree climbers of all levels to test their skills across a range of events. The event will be held over two days with Open and Master’s divisions. Winners of each event will be awarded certificates and prizes (and bragging rights), and the overall winner will represent the Big Tree Isle at the Australian Tree Climbing Championship in Sydney in May 2023
