Australian Tree Climbing Championship
ATCC 2020 postponed
Over the past few weeks, we have been closely monitoring and evaluating the situation around COVID-19 (Coronavirus) to ensure we are taking the necessary measures to protect the health and wellbeing of attendees at the National Conference & ATCC in May. Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our community, so the difficult decision to postpone the National Conference has been made by the Board of Directors.
What does this mean for ATCC competitors?
In line with many of the other ITCC-style events scheduled around the world, the 2020 ATCC will not take place in May. The Practicing Arborist Committee (PAC) are exploring options for running the event at a later date, however as the extent and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is not yet known, we are not yet able to commit to an event this year.
The PAC will directly contact competitors as soon as possible. If you have any urgent questions regarding the competition, please contact PAC at PAC@arboriculture.org.au, however please be patient with our team of volunteers as they explore these options. PAC will also make a general announcement regarding the competition as soon as any developments ensue.
The ATCC is the pinnacle tree climbing event on the Australian calendar and Arboriculture Australia Ltd is proud to host the event as part of its national conference.
