Tasmanian Arboricultural Organisation Tree Climbing Championships 2023
About
Whether you’re new to climbing or a veteran of the trees, the TTCC is an event for tree climbers of all levels to test their skills across a range of events. The event will be held over two days with Open and Master’s divisions. Winners of each event will be awarded certificates and prizes (and bragging rights), and the overall winner will represent the Big Tree Isle at the Australian Tree Climbing Championship in Sydney in May 2023.
When - Saturday the 1st of April (no joke) and Sunday the 2nd of April 2023.
Where - We are delighted to be holding the 2023 Tasmanian Tree Climbing Championships in the verdant Royal HobartBotanical Gardens - Lower Domain Road, Hobart. Competitors will have the rare opportunity to climb specimens within the Oak and Eucalyptus collections and from these lofty heights enjoy breathtaking views of the Derwent River and Mount Wellington.
Fees
Competitors - $160.00 – Includes a donation to the gardens, registration, insurance, t-shirt, TAO sticker, hot lunch on Saturday and light snacks throughout the event. Basic hot drinks and water will be provided, please BYO keep cups and drink bottles to keep our event sustainable. Dietary requirements catered for if registered by COB 25th of March, 2023.
Spectators - Free - Although a donation to RHBG, would be gratefully received and support the invaluable work the horticultural staff do to care for the rare and diverse collection on site. Donations boxes can be found at entrance gates, conservatory and at the Visitor Centre.
A hot lunch will be provided for competitors and volunteers on Saturday if registered by COB 25th of March, 2023.
