  • Starting rate $46,021 pa + super (76 hour fortnight) + any applicable allowances. Salary will increase based on completed training modules or time spent in the position. 

    Please note - junior rates for applicants under 21 apply (starting at $42,247.72 pa + super + applicable allowances) 

  • 76 hour fortnight
  • 9 day fortnight

About our opportunity

Your responsibilities will include assisting with and undertaking onsite relevant arboricultural services and activities as defined through the legislative requirements for this position through the development of a trade and technical knowledge through work based training. 

You will be required to correctly use and maintain plant and equipment provided and comply with all legislation, approved standards, policies and procedures relating to the teams practices and processes as well we support the wider outputs of the team and work as an integral part of the broader Parks and Open Space teams. 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have a passion for this industry, solid aptitude and ability to enrol in and complete a Certificate III in Arboriculture, eagerness to learn new tasks and acquire new skills and ability to work in a variety of work locations - including working at heights. 

Additionally you will hold:

  • A current C class driver's license
  • Construction Induction Card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement at your own cost) 

There is a requirement of this position that you will obtain an MR (Medium Rigid) truck license and an EWP (elevating work platform) license within the first 12 months of commencement.
