The Position
This position is responsible for the maintenance and development of trees in streets, parks, reserves and landscapes with AlburyCity.
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum Certificate IV in Arboriculture and/or extensive relevant industry experience
- Construction Induction Card
- Class C (standard) Drivers Licence (compulsory to have and maintain)
- Demonstrated industry experience with arboriculture practices including and indepth knowledge of associated machinery operation and tree risk management principles.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Coordinate the maintenance of Albury's parks, reserves and landscape areas.
- Provide advice and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of tree, parks and landscapes maintenance in an informed and professional manner.
- Undertake all employee management activities relevant to the role, including; recruitment, performance management/reviews, employee development, disciplinary action, rostering and timesheets, as well as ensuring a high level of employee motivation and team harmony.
- Supervise staff to carry out maintenance and development projects.
- Assist in preparing designs and coordinate the implementation of arboriculture projects.
- Respond appropriately to customer requests and complaints in accordance with AlburyCity’s Customer Experience Charter.
- Engage and manage contractors.
- Monitor and report on financial performance.
- Assist in business plan and budget preparation
This role will
- Attract a salary of $67,411 to $74,152 + 10.5% Superannuation
- Work a 38 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm, with a fortnightly Rostered Day Off.
