The Position 
This position is responsible for the maintenance and development of trees in streets, parks, reserves and landscapes with AlburyCity.

Qualifications & experience 

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Arboriculture and/or extensive relevant industry experience
  • Construction Induction Card
  • Class C (standard) Drivers Licence (compulsory to have and maintain)
  • Demonstrated industry experience with arboriculture practices including and indepth knowledge of associated machinery operation and tree risk management principles.  

Tasks & responsibilities 

  • Coordinate the maintenance of Albury's parks, reserves and landscape areas.
  • Provide advice and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of tree, parks and landscapes maintenance in an informed and professional manner.
  • Undertake all employee management activities relevant to the role, including; recruitment, performance management/reviews, employee development, disciplinary action, rostering and timesheets, as well as ensuring a high level of employee motivation and team harmony.
  • Supervise staff to carry out maintenance and development projects.
  • Assist in preparing designs and coordinate the implementation of arboriculture projects.
  • Respond appropriately to customer requests and complaints in accordance with AlburyCity’s Customer Experience Charter.
  • Engage and manage contractors.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance.
  • Assist in business plan and budget preparation  

This role will  

  • Attract a salary of $67,411 to $74,152 + 10.5% Superannuation 
  • Work a 38 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm, with a fortnightly Rostered Day Off.
