Safe Work Practices and Personal Protective Equipment for Arboricultural Work MIS300 is, in some ways, the most important MIS we've released so far. This document includes all of the core safe work practices, like setting up a site, selecting PPE, completing a JSA or basic worksite communications. Because of the way that the different standards reference each other, we won't repeat this content in other standards; this allows the pruning standard to focus on the theory and practice of pruning, for example, without needing to talk about site setup or PPE. Key topics in MIS300 include: - Risk management - Safety responsibilities at work - Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for arboriculture - Working in remote areas - Site and tree risk assessment - Environmental impact and control measures - Work site exclusion zones - Pre-start checks - Basic site safety rules - Fatigue and stress - Communication during tree work The document is intended to be a user-friendly introduction to working on arboricultural sites. It has been reviewed and ratified by subject matter experts and industry bodies and can be used in conjunction with company SWMS to offer a holistic approach to introducing and describing work practices.
